How to close idle FTP Connections in cPanel

Idle FTP connections are caused when an FTP client opens multiple connections, without closing the previous ones, or due to an incorrect setting.

If your FTP client is using more than 8 connections at the same time, you will get refused with a message similar to this:

In order to view or close idle FTP connections, follow the steps given below:

1. Login to cPanel.

2. Click on FTP Connections in Files tab.

3. You will then see a list of all your current FTP connections. Click the Disconnect link in the Actions column.

4. A message will be displayed similar to this "Are you sure you want to disconnect name@domain.com FTP user?." Click the Disconnect button to proceed.

5. After clicking on Disconnect button, it will show the success message.

You are finished when you see a message like this: "The FTP session with PID 123456 was terminated." Click on Go Back, if you need to destroy Multiple Session.
Only One Session can be destroyed at a time.
