How to enable GZip compression in Windows

GZIP compression may be enabled either directly through a web.config

Once enabled, it can be tested using an external site like giftofspeed.com

Set, doDynamicCompression to true as in the syntax example below.



<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <configuration> <system.webServer> <urlCompression doDynamicCompression="true" /> </system.webServer> </configuration>
