Getting Started with CWP (CentOS Web Panel)

1. Login:  To login in your Control Panel, use http://YourIP:2082.

2. Fill out the username and password and click Login.

 

3. File Manager:  After logging to your control panel, navigate to File Management->FTP File Manager to upload your website and Click Here to follow the steps to upload website.

 

 

4. Email Account Setup: -This interface allows you to add and manage email accounts for your domains. To add a new email address, follow the steps given below.

  1. Click Email Accounts.


  2. Click Add a New MailBox on email page.



  3. Enter the email address, choose your domain from the drop down menu and enter the password. After filling out the information, click Add.


  4. After successful creation of mail, you will see the email account listed below.

5. FTP Accounts:

To Setup an FTP account in your control panel, follow the steps given below:

  1. Click the FTP Accounts button in the Files Management Section.


  2. Click on Create FTP Account.              
                        
  3. Enter the Username and password and select the directory for FTP Account. After filling all the information, click Create FTP Account.


  4. After successful creation of mail, you will see the email account listed below.

 

6. To Setup FileZilla for uploading website content, Click Here.

 

 

7. Name Servers:

A great simple way to think about name servers is using a phone book analogy. If you were trying to call Gen X Web Hosting you might have remembered our phone number, but more than likely you'd want to look it up before just guessing at numbers. A name server is a specialized server on the Internet that handles queries or questions from your local computer, about the location of a domain name's various services. You need to point the name servers to your hosting server In order to make your website live.

8. Add-on Domains:An add-on domain is a fully functional domain that can be created from within your control panel. Add-on domains allow you to control multiple domains from a single account. An add-on domain links a new domain name to a subdirectory of your account's public_html (document root) directory, and then stores its files in that subdirectory. To add domains to your control panel, follow the steps given below:

  1. Click on Domains.


  2. Click on Add a New Domain.


  3. Enter the domain name which you want to add. Click on Add a New Domain after filling the information.


  4. After successful creation of mail, you will see the email account listed below.

 

9. Database:  To add a database and user, follow the steps given below:

  1. Click on MySQL Manager in SQL Services.
  2. Click on Create Database and User.

  3. Enter the database and password, Username will be same as database name. Click on Create Database after filling the information.


  4. After successful creation of database, you will see the database listed below.
