FTP issue in WordPress while updating

If you are not able to update/upgrade your WordPress and plugins to a newer version without providing your FTP connection information. This is a common issue whereby the WordPress system can’t write to your /wp-content folder directly.

How to Fix the WordPress Updates

  1. Login to Plesk or cPanel.
  2. Goto the root directory like public_html in cpanel or httpdocs in plesk or folder in which your WordPress Website is present
  3. Find wp-config.php file and define a constant 'FS_METHOD' in your wp-config.php file.

            define('FS_METHOD','direct');

      4. Now Save your wp-config.php file. that's all you need to do and your issue will be resolved.
