Getting Started with Windows Reseller Hosting

1. Purchase a Windows Reseller Hosting.

2. Login to plesk. You can login to plesk via following urls.

  • https://domain_name.com:8443
  • http://domain_name:8880

 

 

3. After login, plesk interface will open. The first you need to do is to create a Service Plan. Windows Reseller web hosting allows you to create the package as per your requirements in your Plesk Control panel. This procedure allows you to create the service plan in your web hosting.

4. To create hosting account, click on Subscriptions and navigate to add subscription. Fill out the following entries:

 

 

  • In the Domain name text box, type the domain name that you want to host on the new subscription.
  • In the IP address list box, select the IP address on which you want the subscription hosted, or keep the default value.
  • In the Username text box, type the username that you want to use to access the subscription.
  • In the Password and Repeat password text boxes, type the password that you want to use to access the subscription, or click Generate to automatically create a secure password.
  • In the Service plan list box, select the service plan that you want to assign to the subscription, or keep the default value.
  • Click OK. Plesk creates the subscription.

 

 

 

 

5. To make additional plesk panels, click on customers and navigate to add customer, to create new control panel for your client. Fill out the following entries:

 

  • Fill the Contact Information.
  • To give the separate control panel, give the user name and password.
  • Note: Make sure that the password is very tough which consists of alphanumeric characters.
  • Subscription: to add a new subscription to link directly to the customer, Tick the “Create subscription for customer” option and fill out the entries. You can leave the subscription tab and assign the customer an existing subscription later. We will discuss how to assign existing subscription to a customer below in the knowledgebase.
  • Choose the service plan.
  • Don’t enable Proceed to customizing the subscription parameters after the customer is created.

 Note that doing this will lock the subscription for syncing.

  • Click OK to create customer.

 

 

 

 

6. To access your customer’s panel, click on customers, navigate to your customer from your customer list page and click on login as customer.

 

7. To customize your plan for a particular subscription, click on the subscription you wish to make changes in service plan from the subscriptions list page and click Customize in Account sidebar section.

 

  • Customizing subscription page will appear. Now you can customize your service plan only for that particular subscription.

 

 

 

 

  • Click Apply & Lock to make changes.
